Deputy Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £27,000.00 per year

Care in Style provides residential care to adults with learning disabilities and we are in an exciting time of growth and development.

We are looking for a dynamic, friendly and motivated Deputy Manager who is used to working with positive behavior support and managing large staff teams over multiple sites.

The key aspects of this role are:

  • Leading the care team to provide high quality care to our residents;
  • Line management of the care service and care staff;
  • Communication and organisation across local sites;
  • Management of allocated budget and finances;
  • Management of HR and recruitment of care staff;
  • Staff induction, training and development;
  • Health & safety and regulatory authority audits/quality control;

Team Leader – £11.00 per hour (£12.00 enhanced Sunday rate)

We are looking for a full-time Team Leader to join our growing team.

Care in Style Ltd is a successful and growing organisation with five homes within Westcliff-on-Sea.  We provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities.

We are a dynamic service provider, offering first class support to help people lead independent and fulfilling lives not just within their home, but also out in the community.

Key aspects of this role are:

  • To supervise the care functions within the Home in line with the instruction of the Care Co-ordinator.
  • On call duties in accordance with the on call rota system.
  • Develop effective working relationships with the Care Co-ordinator of the Home.
  • Support an open, positive and inclusive management culture.
  • Support the care coordinator to ensure that care is delivered in line with legal and regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in promoting the shared company vision and meet and maintain care standards.
  • Work with member of multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service user therapeutic care.
  • Evaluate care plans and risk assessments.
  • Provide staff inductions and assist in supervising and appraising staff.
  • Ensure staff training is up to date and support staff in their career development.
  • Monitor and report staff timekeeping and absence.
  • Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise.
  • Support the staff team in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Assisting to carry out duties within the homes in line with CQC, Health and Safety and Fire regulations.
  • Attend internal and external meeting as required

Full time and Part time – Support Workers £9.50 per hour (£10.50 enhanced Sunday rate)

We are looking for full and part time support workers to join our growing support team.

Care in Style Ltd is a successful and growing organisation with five homes within Westcliff-on-Sea.  We provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities.

We are a dynamic service provider, offering first class support to help people lead independent and fulfilling lives not just within their home, but also out in the community.  Our service users are active and are looking for people who will help them get out and about and join them to do their activities every day, for example:

  • Going to the gym, swimming or exercise classes.
  • Going shopping in town and shopping malls.
  • Trampolining.
  • Joining in bike riding classes.
  • Walking in the park and the sea front.
  • Doing art projects.
  • Cooking and baking for the home and sometimes community events.
  • Charity and fundraising events.
  • Visiting the fair, fun days or craft fairs.
  • Home based Zumba classes, yoga and relaxation.

Alongside an active role, you will also assist service users to manage their personal care and help them to manage their day to day lives.

The role is a shift work position with mornings, afternoons and evenings available.  Some weekend work is required on a rota basis.

A level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential as we operate a comprehensive staff development scheme, enabling you to grow your position within the company.
